Heinrich World War I photo album [graphic]. 1915-1918.

Candid and portrait photographs documenting the experiences of German soldier Bruno Heinrich during World War I. Several images document the daily life and social activities of soldiers, including drinking beer, playing cards, and playing music near a bivouac. Others show dug-in artillery and camouflaged tanks and bivouacs, as well as images of military cemeteries and bombed buildings. Includes a single, mass-produced image of Kaiser Wilhelm on the Eastern front and photographs of Russian field workers and refugees. Heinrich's iron cross is contained in a pocket inside the front cover, and his son appears to have added captions (in English) at a later date. Photographs at the end of the album all depict Heinrich's brothers-in-law who served on the Western front; these may also have been added later.

1 album (101 photoprints) ; 13 x 21 cm.
